Grants & Teacher Award

Agriculture in the Classroom seeks to encourage Virginia teachers to integrate agriculture into their daily curriculum. To celebrate and support teachers who do so, Agriculture in the Classroom offers its Teacher of the Year Award as well as Garden and Agriculture Experience Grants.

Teacher of the Year

If you have an innovative approach to incorporating agriculture into your classroom, then apply to be Agriculture in the Classroom's 2020 Teacher of the Year. The winner will receive a $500 stipend and a trip to the National Agriculture in the Classroom Conference in Salt Lake City, Utah, June 23-26, 2020.

Grant Program

Agriculture in the Classroom provides grants to support schools and organizations who strive to help students understand the source of their food and fiber and to help Virginia's school children gain a greater knowledge and appreciation of agriculture. Successful grant applicants will provide students with hands-on, experiential learning about agriculture.

Agriculture in the Classroom is now accepting applications for 2020 STEM grants.

Successful STEM Grants applications will connect students with the source of their food through STEM-based learning experiences.
