State Summary 2017 — Rhode Island
Once again, RI Farm Bureau is rebooting our program after an administrative change. I will be attending the Leadership Summit in Chicago in April. Prior to reaching out, I have already been approached by an elementary teacher to help integrate Agriculture into their after school programming since our schools' curricula can be very rigid.

Heidi Quinn is the new Executive Director of RI Farm Bureau, just beginning to take part in the AITC program since her late-July 2017 hire. Heidi holds a Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education with a concentration in Animal Science from URI. She spent 12 years as a long-term substitute teacher while raising her children. She is an FFA and 4-H volunteer. Heidi has been the Executive Director of the RI Raised Livestock Association since 2011, and has focused on educating both farmers and consumers.
