Major projects accomplished this year
- SC AITC has achieved a number of accomplishments during the 2005 calendar year. Our annual summer Institute will be approved as a permanent graduate course through Clemson University. AITC director received a master's degree in education, and will be an adjunct professor for Clemson teaching the Institute course. We have trained and hired three contract workshop presenters to assist with our professional development workshops.
Major impacts the program had this year
- 96% of Institute teacher participants rated the SC AITC Institute very worthwhile.
- More than 20 SC newspapers have printed the release and photos of the participating teachers from the AITC Institute.
- Applications to our annual Institute have seen a tenfold increase since program renovations five years ago.
- More than 600 teachers received AITC training in 2005.
