Food,Feed,Fuel Ag Mag Added Volunteer Resources to website Pollinator Workshop Early Childhood Workshop

Major Program Accomplishments or Outputs

Teacher Training: SDAITC participated in the Summer Symposium hosted by the Sioux Falls School District (SD's largest district)SDATIC presented 4 workshops. 120 teachers participated.

Partnered with Project WET, WILD & LEARNING TREE for a new distance learning graduate credit course. 90 teachers participated in Fall and Spring courses. Continued to implement pre-service training. Currently presenting at 4 universities both fall and spring semesters. 250 students participated.

Continued our Ag Mag publication sent to 1500 classrooms for a total 28,000 students, 3 times during the school year.

Implemented Ag Literacy Project that utilized over 150 volunteers who reached over 3000 students.

Biosketch

Lisa Dorschner has been the Executive Director of SD AITC since June 2000. She is a lifelong SD resident and was raised on a livestock and small grain farm near Winner, SD. She is a graduate of South Dakota State University with a degree in Family & Consumer Science. Prior to AITC, Lisa was a classroom presenter for the SD Beef Industry Council's Ag Venture program. Lisa is also a graduate of South Dakota Ag & Rural Leadership Class IV.
