We reached more than 13,700 students through our third annual literacy project. More than 375 volunteers read to K-5 students in 30 of our 36 counties.
We started a Facebook page last January and it's been a successful outreach for the program with more than 600 friends.
We created a new commodities section on our website and feature Dungeness crab, hazelnuts, grass seed and beef. We updated several of our activity pages to include state standards and essential skills.
Nearly 300 people attended our Fall Harvest Dinner, which is our only fundraising event. We raised $35,000 and sold 48 cases of Get Oregonized books that will be donated to schools throughout the state.
Oregon Agriculture in the Classroom Foundation was reorganized 11 years ago. During the first year, we reached about 3,000 students. In the last school year we documented over 106,000 students. We have one full time and two part-time staff with a college student intern.
AITC materials and lessons were delivered to more than 106,000 students, an increase of 26% from the previous year.
