Major Program Accomplishments
Introduced 52 lessons targeted for 6th, 7th, & 8th grades at state wide conference. Received 2,086 entries from 3rd, 4th, 5th graders in OAITC Poster Contest, 662 entries from 6th graders in OAITC Story Board contest, 667 entries from Pre-K, K, Transitional 1st,1st and 2nd graders in OAITC Bulletin Board contest, 354 entries from 7th & 8th graders in the OAITC Essay contest.

Facilitated an Ag Day celebration that included lunch, OAITC activities, presentation of savings bonds, legislative citations and award medals to winners and finalists in the Poster and Essay Contest, in collaboration with the Oklahoma Beef Council and Southwest Dairy Museum.

Distributed an Ag Day poster with winning AITC contest poster and essay to each Oklahoma senator and representative and 3000 educators.

Distributed 6000 OAITC school year calendars to educators.

Presented workshops with over 800 teachers at State Dept of Education Conferences.

Facilitated over 200 teacher in-service training workshops.

Facilitated 2On the Road with Ag in the Classroom workshops w/100 teachers in 3-day professional development visiting ag entities w/funding from the Oklahoma Beef Council.

Facilitated workshop w/40 Child Nutrition Directors in 3-day traveling professional development to farms/farmers markets w/funding from Child Nutrition, State Dept of Education; Facilitated traveling professional development w/40 educators to school gardens, market farms & farmers markets. Facilitated 3 curriculum reviews with over 75 teachers. Teachers piloted lessons prior to the reviews and taught lesson at the review. Each review focused on a different facet of the OAITC curriculum. OAITC Teacher of the Year received $500 honorarium from Oklahoma Wheat Producer, All expenses plus registration from Oklahoma Farm Bureau Women to Nat'l AITC Convention.

Taught EDUC 4110, l hour undergrad ag literacy course at OSU each semester, 30 undergraduates, 98% non-ag majors.

Major Program Impacts
100% of the lessons on Oklahoma Ag in the Classroom web site are aligned to the Oklahoma Priority Academic Student skills and updated regularly.

96% of Pre-K-8th grade teachers received curriculum to incorporate agriculture literacy into their classroom curriculum.

50% of attendees at six OK State Dept of Education conferences learned how to include agriculture literacy into their curriculums.

Presentations at 85% of the state education conferences.

100% of the pre-service agriculture education teachers and elementary teachers at three state universities learned the importance of teaching agriculture literacy.

19% of Pre-K through 8th educators and cooperative extension educators received updated OAITC information and lessons each month through the OAITC web site.

OAITC resources sent to 100% (all 77) counties in Oklahoma as requested by teachers and cooperative extension educators.

99% of the teachers submitting grant proposals met the qualifications and were awarded up to $300 each.
